Emerging from the shadow of her superstar father Kamal Haasan last year through her career-defining performance in '3' and not to forget her successful outing in Pawan Kalyan-starrer 'Gabbar Singh', actress Shruthi Haasan is fast turning out to be Telugu producers favourite after golden girl Samantha.
Already a part of big ticket flicks like 'Balupu', 'Yevadu', 'Boochodu' alongside stars like Ravi Teja, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun, the actress is in reckoning to romance superstar Mahesh Babu for Sreenu Vaitla's 'Aagadu' which will go to sets from June.
'Currently in Portugal shooting for 'Balupu', the actress, known to take her own sweet time shr3for a project, is all but 'in' to be a part of 'Aagadu'. Formalities will be completed once she returns to Hyderabad,' a source said.
Added the source, 'She has completed filming for Hindi projects, 'D-Day' and 'Ramaiyya Vastavaiyya', and her Telugu films like 'Balupu' and 'Yevadu' are in the final stages of production.
She is also playing a special role in Harish Shankar's untitled film with NTR which requires her participation for a month. She will wrap it up before adjusting dates to shoot for Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu's projects on a parallel note.'
Well, Shruthi's name for 'Aagadu' surfaced after Sonam Kapoor was reportedly approached for the role. The fashionista later dismissed the news.
To be produced by Vaitla's close pals, Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara on 14 Reels Entertainment which earlier produced 'Dookudu', the director himself will be penning the script for the action-entertainer.
